Karma Lodge began when the Namgyal family opened their ancestral home to travelers seeking more than just a hotel room — they wanted a genuine Ladakhi experience. Three generations later, we still cook the same butter tea, tend the same terraced garden, and share stories of Leh under a sky full of stars.

Our stone-and-wood property sits just below Shanti Stupa — close enough to hear the morning prayers, far enough to feel the peace of the mountains. Each room is decorated with hand-woven carpets, carved furniture, and thangka paintings passed down through the family.
